Back to School

We finally have some answers regarding what the 2020/2021 school year will look like. In the last couple of weeks, we have learned that BC, Alberta, and Ontario will all reopen full-time in September for elementary and high school students. We are still awaiting further details, depending on each province and individual school districts, and for some parents, those answers will not come until the end of August.

We know you may be feeling stressed and overwhelmed, and may have anxiety about making the right decision for your family with regards to going back to school. As working mothers, we are feeling this way too, but we are here to help and we hope that we can find a solution for all your childcare needs.

For the last 20 years, Nannies on Call has always focused on hiring educated, passionate childcare professionals. We have an extraordinary pool of Early Childhood Educators, Teachers, Tutors, and Nannies with a variety of Bachelor and Masters degrees. Now more than ever, educated Nannies are in high demand. Whether you choose to send your child/ren to school or you need a private educator at home, we have a Nanny to fit your needs!

Check out a sample of a few of our currently available Nannies:

Robin – Vancouver

Incredibly well-educated and with over 30 years of experience in childcare, Nanny Robin is unmatched! She has a lot of experience with infants and toddlers, and has worked for many different families. She is known by past employers as reliable, flexible, and caring, and has glowing references. Robin enjoys music, making healthy meals, and is very knowledgeable when it comes to children with severe allergies, as one of her own children suffers them. She is passionate about whole and organic foods, and enjoys getting children involved in nature whenever possible! Robin lives in New Westminster and is looking for a family to spend her days with. She is officially an “empty nester” and looks forward to helping a family and their little ones every day. She is extremely flexible with her schedule.

Samantha – Toronto

Samantha (or Sam, as many call her) is a young, energetic, big sister-type Nanny! She completed her Early Childhood Education studies at Humber College. Sam started out as a babysitter, then worked as a Playschool Aid before deciding to move to France to become an Au Pair. Since then, she has worked as a Nanny for a family in Maine, USA, as well as for various families in Toronto and the GTA. She has also worked as an Educational Assistant and helped out in French Immersion classrooms, as she is proficient in French as well. Sam has extensive child development knowledge, and is passionate about having interactions and facilitating activities that support whole child development and encourage self-expression. She is full of energy and charisma — there’s no shortage of fun involved when your children are with Sam!

Mary – Calgary

Nanny Mary grew up in Russia and moved to the USA as an Au Pair in 2006. She continued her travels, arriving in Canada a year later, and has been a nanny for several families since her arrival. Mary obtained her Masters Degree in Education (she is 100% fluent in English) and truly enjoys working with children and understands their developmental needs. She has done quite a lot of work for us and the feedback has always been excellent! Mary loves to teach the children in her care about nature and animals, and enjoys reading with the children. She’s a warm Nanny who always has a smile on her face. She is happy to assist with light housekeeping and all things childcare related.

It typically takes 4 to 8 weeks to find a live-out Nanny. Contact us today before the inevitable September scramble begins.
