Have you tried geocaching yet?
A nanny recently informed me of this new phenomenon where people hide little containers, called geocaches, around Calgary and then list the GPS coordinates on the geochaching.com website. The thought: take something, leave something. It’s like going on a treasure hunt! Some can be really tricky to find so be sure to read on the website each on cache page about the size and difficulty and any comments left if other people have visited that geocache before heading out. Most smartphones have a GPS built in so you can use that or the caching app to find your target. Careful….this can be addicting!
