Lindsay is friendly, outgoing and very artistic! With a Bachelors degree in Fine Arts from Ontario College of Art and Design, the children will always be learning new, exciting, out of the box activities and are guaranteed to have a blast. Most of her experience comes from working as a Kids Yoga Instructor, Nanny, Art Instructor, Outreach Worker and After school care facilitator. She used to host a parent and tot sing along at Kitsilano Neighbourhood House where kids 0-3 would sing and dance to the classics of Raffi and Sharon Lois and Bram. She is currently working towards becoming a children’s entertainer, so she loves testing out new ideas with the kids she nannies for! Her past employers describe her as creative, responsible, artistic, engaging and has a unique childcare style and is able to build rapport quickly. She loves to ride her bike, go on adventures, draw, play the ukulele and spend time in nature!
From organizing events & workshops for teachers & kids, to creating large scale participatory installations out of recycled materials, she regularly manages community focused projects that call the viewer to consider how they can re-purpose common ‘waste’ items to create positive social change. She enjoys creating, inspiring unexpected places and environments for learning to facilitate ones self-discovery.
She is currently searching for a full-time position with an open minded, communicative family. A sense of adventure and great sense of humour are a must! 🙂 She would love to find a family who will allow her to work in a partnership with the parents in order to foster a sense of wonder, adventure and community in their children.
