We have a such a surplus of wonderful nannies in Vancouver and Toronto, we want to help them all find fantastic families such as yours! Here is just small glimpse of a few of our FABULOUS Nannies we have in Vancouver and Toronto this month.
NANNY JODY – Toronto
Well adjusted, educated and well travelled. These are just a few words to describe Jody!
She has quite the varied teaching background. With 2 years teaching Humanities at an International Baccalaureate academy in Tanzania; teaching and mentoring at another IB school in Bogota, Columbia; and most recently – Junior Behavioural Therapist (play therapy) for 4-6 year olds in Toronto! (oh, and she speaks Spanish and Swahili)
She is a tactile (hands on!) and innovative caregiver. She views everyday objects as play resources—-a few kitchen staples can combine to create a sensory experience kids love, from slimy goop to organic fluff fit for summer snowballs or sparkly clouds! She likes to make forts, create obstacle courses and experiment with water-balloons and play-dough. Now that is a great nanny for your child!
“I also feel that the privilege of helping to foster positive values and ensure physical and emotional health for young ones is a very great responsibility and therefore view nannying as an extremely important job.” Yes, it is Jody, and you are perfect for it!!
*Jody is looking for a Part Time Placement in the Toronto area so that she can still be an active volunteer in the community.
NANNY STACEY – Vancouver
Since she was a young child, Stacey has known she wanted to be a teacher! She is pursuing that dream, currently finishing her Bachelor of Education.
She has extensive experience caring for children in various capacities. Her professional experience with children includes working as a Teaching Assistant (both Elementary and Secondary) for the Surrey School District for over 3 years. She has recently completed a practicum at a secondary school in the teaching capacity. And, she has many years of experience as a regular and occasional babysitter and nanny for children from 2 years up to 10 years!
“Being a nanny is much like being a teacher. As I do when I am a teacher, I believe my job as a nanny is to nurture a child’s holistic growth and learning. Life provides children with so many learning opportunities. It is a blessing to share these moments with children and a serious responsibility to help them learn and get the most out of every experience.”
*Stacey is looking for a summer placement in Vancouver on a full time basis.
