Phipps Bakery Café is quite possibly the cutest little kid-friendly café –ever! – and it was just bustling with moms and tots when Nanny Erin paid it a visit. The décor is absolutely adorable! You will feel as though you have stepped right into a fairy tale luncheon, as your surroundings are trees, mosaics, a little white picket fence, and the most darling little tables in the world.
They even have a lovely little play area for the children, so the adults can finish their lunch in peace while the kids giggle and play. Lunch and dessert could be created from a variety of items such as pie, soup, mac and cheese, cookies, coffees, teas, and so much more. Their cookies are such a treat – and so very extraordinarily tasty – that Nanny Erin started eating one and just couldn’t leave without buying three more of the scrumptious cookies for later.
Phipps even offers their delicious food to go, and they pack it up conveniently to stick in the freezer for a later date, when one cannot find the time to cook. How incredibly convenient is that? To top it all off, every single item of food that Phipps has on their menu is made fresh, with absolutely no artificial flavours or preservatives, so you can be assured that you and your children are eating nutritiously.
With the combination of the ultra-amazing décor and the absolutely delicious treats, it’s pretty clear why they won the best of Toronto in 2000, 2002, 2004, 2005, and 2007!
If you are shopping in the Eglinton area, this is a place you must check out. You won’t find a better place to stop and have lunch with the kids!
