In recent years, women have become more and more aware of the importance of taking exceptionally good care of themselves throughout their pregnancy as well as the advantages of being extremely well prepared for childbirth.
More and more women are taking control of their pregnancy and birthing experiences by choosing to explore the resources available to them and hypnosis is becoming an increasingly popular option. It’s natural, you can practice with your partner and alone and it provides an unparalleled level of calmness at a time when you need it most.
September 4th 2010 saw the Vancouver launch of a new and unique program that teaches expecting parents how to use hypnosis throughout their pregnancy and childbirth.
The Peaceful Pregnancy Program was developed by Vancouver Hypnotherapist Alicia Fairclough who teaches the Peaceful Pregnancy Program and is training a network of Peaceful Pregnancy Practitioners in Vancouver.
Practitioners come from varying backgrounds including midwifery and nursing but most importantly, all Peaceful Pregnancy Practitioners are certified hypnotists, master hypnotists and/or clinical hypnotherapists according to the standards set by the International Medical and Dental Hypnotherapy Association.
This exciting new program teaches parents how to use hypnosis for the purposes of relaxation, sleep, physical comfort, bonding with baby, preparation for birthing and preparation for parenthood.
